St. Charles enjoys leadership from a city that uses tremendous foresight in its planning and a park district that plans for future grown in its programming. While both the city and park district leaders follow a solid policy of making its residents' needs their upmost priority, these stakeholders appreciate the tremendous impact hosting regional and national events - that are the "right fit" for St. Charles - can offer this quintessential Midwestern community.
The Bureau is the third partner in promoting sports events in St. Charles. As such, our staff wills serve as the "go-to" person between the St. Charles venue of choice and the sports event rites holder. In addition to conducting site tours, the Bureau will help in securing support from needed city stakeholders and in procuring volunteers needed to coordinate events. The Bureau will help secure hotel guest rooms and coordinate services including but not limited to:
- Customized sports sales/media kits
- Local media coverage
- Customized slide presentation to help in site decision making AND to boost event participation
- Applying for special grants that may be used to help offset event costs
- Welcome bags, including specialty coupon programs for athletes and families looking for down-time shopping and dining options.
